Defining Goals

1. If you were to fully live your life, what is the first change you would start to make?

I would stop being so negative and I would be more at cause over my life.
2. What areas of you life could be upgraded / tweaked?

My sense of responsibility could be worked over seriously.
3. What could we work on now that would make the biggest difference to your life?

My gratitude levels.
4. How would you feel about doubling that goal?

Not a problem.
5. What are you tolerating / putting up with?

Making do with the feeling I am not active enough in certain areas.
6. What do you want MORE of in your life? (Make a list)

Money, control, readers.
7. What do you want LESS of in your life? (Make a list)

Reactive thinking. Bad news.
8. What are the three things you are doing regularly that don’t serve or support you?

Not going on course, invalidating myself, doubting my own abilities.
9. How could you make this goal more specific or measurable?

By working out how to combat it. To take control and stop giving in.
10. What would be the biggest impact from achieving your goal(s)?

A better relationship with myself and everyone else I know.
11. What would you try now if you knew you could not fail?

To paint.
12. How can we make this something you’re aiming towards, rather than something you’re trying to move away from?

I just need to decide to do it and stop procrastinating.

My wife, my son, my family, my friends, my writing.
14. What do you hate?

Nothing really.
15. What’s one thing you would love to do before you die?

Finish a novel.

Yes. Now is always the best time, rather than keep bloody procrastinating.
17. What could we work on right now that would really put a smile on your face?

I just made the phone call I needed to do that.

My activeness in shaping it.

Success.
20. What’s one change you could make to your lifestyle that would give you more peace?

To stop surrendering to negativity so much.

Just to make sure I go and get this course completed. That’s first.

I know what it is I just need to do it.
23. Who could you talk to who would illuminate this issue?

I have spoken to the people I need to to get this sorted; just need to agree with it myself.
24. Who should you be hanging out with so that achieving this goal becomes natural? (i.e. who’s already doing it?).

The other people on the course.
25. How can you get the knowledge/ information you need?

By being on course.
26. What are three actions you could take that would make sense this week?

I am going to sound like a parrot, but see above.
27. On a scale of 1 to 10, how excited do you feel about taking these actions?

Between a 5 and a 6 at the moment.
28. What would increase that score? (e.g. handle fear, clearer steps, more support, more fun)

All three of those suggestions sound sensible.
29. What would Tony Robbins do in this situation? What would “massive action” look like?

Pleading ignorance on the first part of this question. Massive action? Doing rather than thinking about I suppose.
30. What will happen (what is the cost) of you NOT doing anything about this?

A lot of crap. Losing a lot of opportunities.

Gaining New Perspective

31. What can you learn from this?

Doing the course I can learn a lot. From what I’m feeling now? That I need to get a handle on it.
32. In what way is the current situation absolutely perfect?

It’s not.
33. How could you turn this around immediately, and enjoy the process?

Ah, fuck, asking the same question five hundred times does not beget a new answer or a new revelation.
34. What in this situation can you find to be grateful for?

That I am still able to go and do it when I want to.

I am writing lots. I can do life a bit better.

By allowing it in a bit more and stop taking shit so seriously.
37. If you were your own coach, what coaching would you give yourself right now?

To stop being such a whiny pussy.

Not much.

39. What’s your favorite way of sabotaging yourself, and your goals?

By telling myself I would never have got anywhere anyway so why try?

Look at what you have done and imagine what you can do.

My intelligence, my listening skills when employed, my patience when intact.
42. What are you most excited about now? What are you looking forward to?

Sorting out my problems, being able to help other people.
43. What’s one way to get more energy into your life?

To get control of my sleeping and eating habits.
44. If your relationship was IDEAL, what’s one thing that would be different?

My relationship is IDEAL, the main problem is me being so down about shit I shouldn’t be down about.
45. What would be your ideal career – if you could do anything?

A writer, which I am.
46. What’s one thing that you could do to give yourself more peace financially?

Start producing more.
47. What is your life really about? What is your purpose?

To communicate on all levels.
48. If you had to guess your life purpose (from looking at your life to date), what would it be?

It is to write and produce art to help improve people’s lives.
49. What would you like most to be acknowledged for so far in your life?

My work.
50. Who in your life should be acknowledged more? Would you like to acknowledge them for something today?

My wife – for being my rock and for putting up with the stupid shit I do; or rather for working to snap me out of the stupid frames of mind I find myself in.
